problem with the nokia dbox2

Right... i dnt realy know where to start but here goes, yesterday i tryed to flash a dbox2 which i recived.. i read all the tut and guides on the forum and manages to network it with my pc. then i used IFA tool to flash the current image.. i selected the yes option to the null modem cable.. it managed to bak up the current image and load the flash... but it stoped and said /tmp/flash.img not found... then i tryed flashing it with no null modem and just useing the crossover cable.. SUCESS!!.. untill i tryed scaning for channels which didnt work at the time i was useing the new laky image.. so i flashed it again useing the new commando image n that worked and also piked up all the channels.. but only the freeview ones where working :S so i tryed to change the service file but no luck, then when i tryed to flash it bak to laky image it didnt work:S .. it didnt boot into the IFA it carryed on booting as normal so now i cant reflash the box :S :S on the IFA it just says waiting for dbox to start.. but ive turned it on and off so many times it just doesnt work.. any ideas? is there a way to completely deleat everything on there and start from scratch?... also FTP useto work and now it stoped working.. i can still view it in the list mode but when i try to view it in folders mode its telling me i dont have permission i useto b able to b4 :S... any help is much appricated THANKS!... * sorry 4 the long message*

tryed that.. aslo tryed passwords such as dbox and dbox2... i didnt change the password :S but it doesnt seem to log in anymore.. it useto work with root:dbox2 and then when i put commando image it was root:commando... now its the laky image.. i flashed that by going into the commando menu and upgrading flash.. is that where i went rong? i chose flash without bootloader.. now i cant flash anything or access the ftp

which flash and version, are you using, also commando and larky are FTA only,you need roms and keys for them. you need an image which is on an other site.

thanks for all ur help guys ive browsed this forum and found my self a fix .. This is for any1 who has similer problems as me with the dbox2... use the easy guide to flash your box useing a null cable ONLY.. i found it on this site.. and although it does take a bit of time its well worth it!! worked perfectly.. i can now access the box via FTP as well .. thanks.. this is a fantastic site!!
