Dbox help please! Newbie outta his depth

I got a Dbox which worked for a short time, but somehow I lost all channels and have made it worse since by messing with things I no nothing about! I am a complete novice in this area. I am using Virgin Media in the Gloucester area of the UK and have installed Sportster Pro. When I select service scan in the menu, the scan says "transponder failed" and also it says I have cable provider as Kabel Deutschland . When I select reload channel lists is says "no channels found".

Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated as I am very much out of my depth!

Flash with commando 12 and use bruteforce scan then you should pick up all uk cable channels, thats what I use on my dbox

Thanks for the info Rob. I have checked out guides to flashing an image, but doesn't seem to make sense to the options the system is giving me. Could you (or anyone else) let me know how to flash an image pls?

Just search on here, download "image flashing assistant" (portable version works cool). Flash on Commando.

Then, do a new scan.

no a private share can only be bought from someone with a private server there are a few about but are private and you wont see anyone talking about them on the forums
