    Cables.xml

    Hi,

I have recently flashed the Sportster image on to my Nokia dbox2 and copied the service.xml and bouquets.xml file . When i try to do a service scan the cable provider is being displayed as Deustchland and i cant see the UK cable service providers in the list to scan. I am assuming that i need to copy the cables.xml file into my dbox2?? if so where can i find this file?? can you help please?

    Moved > Dbox2

If you have a services.xml and bouquets.xml file then you don't need to do a scan. Doing a servce scan creates a services.xml file with what it finds. Copy your services.xml and bouquets.xml file to /var/tuxbox/config/zapit. Then using your remote do Dbox > Service Menu > Reload Channels. All channels should now be there.

If you really want a UK cables.xml file then there's one here...

the cables xml lives in share/tuxbox. being sporster it'll be a squashfs image so you wont be able to edit it without uncompressing the root. There is a guide on how to do this in pt1's helpfile if you want to give it a go. Or you could just drop your services and bouquets xml's into var/tuxbox/config/zapit like devilfish has said.
