i asked the question in satellite and cable you never know if i put it in cable someone in satellite might now the answer and vice versa

Now now girls!!

As far as I know, all images are dual cable/satellite. The only difference being that a cable setup will use cables.xml for it's Scan data, while a sat setup reads satellites.xml (which is not usually included, so you'll have to dig round for one).

It's probably all explained in pt-1's famous Help File, as he uses a dbox2 Sat himself.

Like PaphosAL says you can really use any image you like as long as you remember to include a valid satellites.xml, the Dbox2 will need this to get the transponder information.

Dbox2 satellite usage is not big in the UK so you'll most likely need to dig out an image from a foreign forum, but there are plenty to choose from - many more than what's available for UK Cable that's for sure.

All I am trying to get at is that if you start a new thread and post the same question 3 times in different groups, and you start to get help from people in each of those threads, they will not know what you have tried and what information has been given to you...

Think about it before you start wasting their time!!
