    Setting up Dbox2 to record

    Does anybody know of a tutorial that explains how to setup your dbox to record?

    I know that when you go into the dbox options there is always a section deticated to 'record'.


    Is it simple as buying a harddrive and just fitting it to yer box ?

      Its even easier mate
      Download the latest version of VLC
      grab yourself a crossover cable or straight if (Router)
      And follow the Guides
      Will be able to record direct to pc with Quality pic in no time

          Excellent... wish I knew about this facility before... but I would appreciate the info in janet&John language...e.g. I don't know what VLC or a crossover cable are.

                  Recording on a DBOX 2

                  Is there a maximum Har Drive size for DBox2.
                  I currently use my own server for the recording function
                  Just wondered what maximum size the box would actually see.

                      Why don't you just do a search. Go to the downloads section and download some guides and see if theres any help in there. In other words try to help your self first rather than waiting for someone to breastfeed you.

                                      Ive been looking around and i think it might just be as easy to buy myself a eurovox ex5000 pvr.

                                      Seems like alot of fiddling around to set up the Dbox2.
