    EPG filter

    <epgfilter is_whitelist="0" except_current_next="1">
    <channel serviceID="1776" name="BBC THREE" tsid="003c" onid="0031"/>
    <channel serviceID="1d5a" name="Virgin Radio" tsid="004b" onid="0031"/>
    </epgfilter>

    Can anyone explain this please,
    I understand the command but I can't see the difference between the 2 examples
    Where does it distinguish between "0" and "1"

    That's my 'old' 7 Day EPG sample filter file, m8. Do you not see my help text above that section you've copied?

    Don't worry about the 0 and 1 flags, these are instructions for sectionsd to limit all the 'shite' tv (and radio) channels in this list to Now 'n Next EPG only.

    Meaning that your 80ish 'premium' channels NOT included in the list are free to collect 7 Days EPG.

    The channels in this list are what you copy and paste out of your bouquets.xml file, like the 2 'pure' area 5401 examples listed.

    I recommend you upgrade to Commando 10c, where this is now all automated via a new menu, and you can select your provider and go 7 Day, or stick with the standard 15hr epg (which stretches to 4 Days after a brief spell in Standby Mode).

    A read of the illustrated 10c Release Notes will enlighten you further...

    Cheers- AL

      So m8,
      If using FreddyFrog's 7 Day EPG for the channels you DO watch, then this filter file is
      the key to success!?>

      If you want to extend their epg, I take it that you add them to the epg filter

        NO!! In \/irgin+2.1 / Commando 10 and 10b - the channels you add into this file are the 200 or so shite channels you do NOT want 7 Day epg for, as stated above!

        For Commando 10c we came up with a more logical idea for going about it- which FreddyFrog not only coded for us, but also gave us the best of both worlds- the option for 'standard' epg, or 7 Day epg.

        Which we then exclusively presented to the awaiting masses in the form of a new 'nationwide' Menu (as lots of dbox users can't be arsed to spend 5 minutes on a simple Copy 'n Paste exercise!!)
