Nokia Dbox2 - Not saving channels

    Hello All,

Sorry if this info is already somewhere on this site but I can't find it hence the new thread.

I recently upgraded (via FTP) a friends box to the latest image from Lincast (SP?). It worked great for a day but since then nothing. Everytime we switch it off & then back on again the box boots fine but everything has gone, channels, bouquet, etc. I've since tried to re-flash it but we still have the same problem. I've even tried using IFA & a cross-over cable but again no joy.

I also tried Commando 10 but I'm not sure if I should be doing anything else.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

I have tried lots of images on different boxes. Always had some problem especially with the images that included "Set my Location".

Always finished up going back to Cryo Sportster Pro 1.02 Ultra. Its the most stable I've used and has the option of 1.2 or 1.73.

what version of lincast image are you using

        Hi, steve...,
i had the same problem with Lincast 7.27 1x. It would be fine for a week then i would lose all chs, reflashing would restore the chs, though. Sounds like there are other issues with the box.
If you can't ftp the box, you need to use IFA to flash a new image. Double check that the image you are using is suitable for your box ie a 1x or 2x.

BTW i am not using the lincast img anymore. It was excellent, fast channel change and crisp picture.
I am waiting for a stable version.

        I hear Lasky is good.

If an image is not saving settings or saving channels after a scan, it's gone into read-only mode.

You need to reflash the image before it will save.
