Hi, its me again used FIA followed guide still wont boot up says (feel like booting it out into bin)

You need to have cables connected before you power up the box, if it doesn't work first time try it a few times you will know if it's working the lcd says flashing. If it doesn't say it on the lcd straight away it's not flashing. I have had to do this a dozen times or so in the past to get it to flash.

Make sure your firewall is turned off. You are using xp aren't you m8 ?
Turn off DBOX
Start Application
Choose Drive where you have the Image you want to flash
Choose the right network Card where the DBOX is connected to
Choose if you have a nullmodem Cable and what Com Port
Click Start
On Windows XP SP2 you now need to click unblock on the Firewall Popup
PLEASE IGNORE ANY MINIMIZED WINDOWS AND ESPECIALLY "pinging failed" !!!!!
Power your Box up and the Software does the Rest

Have tried several times with IFA & still says boot request its not flashing on the lcd and light is glowing yellow but its not very bright though. With the IFA its not always successfull with a crossover cable as you may need a Nullmodem connected via a pc, it says this in software?Comment

I thought you only had a lappy m8. If you got access to a pc use the null modem and flash it that way. Saves a lot of messing but takes around an hour as opposed to less than 10 minutes with IFA

I dont have access to pc, yes ive only got laptop.
I did have sportster image flashed on my dbox but when trying out another image,the box freezed and i lost image
everthing was working perfectly so i guess i messed up box
i may hand it over to a mate of mine to see if he can fix it although with your help m8 i will carry on till all possibilitys have been explored, appreciate all help on this fab siteComment

Give your pc network card a static ip. IE:PC ip:192.168.1.201 subnet mask 255.255.255.0 .
Disable any other network cards you have installed including wireless.
