    How do i get rid of the xmas message ?

    On Laky-Stylas image.


    It has to do with that xmas greeting on the bootup screen.


    Easy way to get rid ?

      Get hold of logo viewer, put your box ip in, and you can upload what image you want m8

          FTP into the box & edit the .version file

          it lives in the highest directory /

              I found a version file in the /proc folder.


              What do i need to edit the file ?

                  Hi m8 its not in the /proc folder & its not called version

                  it is in the highest level (root) / & its called .version

                  just click up level on your browser/ftp program till it wont go up anymore

                  I use textpad it is very good

                                              Couldnt change the xmas message.

                                              .version he/she said to edit wasnt there.

                                              I think theres software called logo viewer in the downloads section but i didnt find it very user friendly.

                                                  Guys Thanks for the help 1 problem though a cant get the logo-fb file on the box I am using flashFXP but it wont transfer to the box any ideas

                                                      @Evo151, the .version file is a hidden file, make sure your ftp client is configured to show hidden files.

                                                      Log in via telnet to see if the file is actually there.
