    Intermittent signal decay?

I've been trying for a while to get my Sagem dbox2 working using Commando 10C.

The problem I've been having is without any pattern developing is the picture freezing or chirping sound on freeview or encrypted.

I have tried every permutation with codes and cams.......no luck.

When the picture is having problems, I checked the strength of the signal and the strength is showing very low, basically a poor signal.

Now what I am unsure of....is it normal for the incoming signal to change dramatically every now and again, or is it normal to show this strength of signal when the picture is freezing?

I was thinking about an amplifier, but the thing is, the signal strength is great when picture is'nt freezing, so i dont know.

Any ideas would be much appreciated. (at the moment the box has been stable all day...6hrs)

Sounds like your tuner is knackered. I had a nokia with the same problem tried every image on it. Gave up in the end and bought another one.

Also take care as not to bend the co-axial cable too much in the home. Keep them straight and erm... unharmed as possible.
