    Waiting For Time

Just flashed the Pacino image onto my nokia dbox2 it is now saying waiting for time and not finding any channels. What should I do just leave it and wait a while and see what happens or do service scan? Any help appreciated.

Waiting for time has a few meanings.

The main cause is the signal. Either the feed isn't connected to the box or your signal is too low. Press REd then BLUE and note the SNR %. This needs to be above 55,000 before you will get any channels from a scan or 'time'.
Ideally it needs to be about 62-64,000 before you'll clear all channels. If it's inbetween these values, you risk missing channels from a scan or exisiting channels freezing or stuttering.

An incompatible services file can also cause 'waiting for time'. Delete the services.xml file from /var/tuxbox/config/zapit and pull the mains plug, wait 30s and power on. Do a scan and it should be ok.

if you dont receive any time signal, your tuner is probably faulty
on some nokias is only the 4,6 Ohms resistance defective

because of a to strong cable-signal, use cable-amplifiers very carefully in combination with dboxes
