JUST GOT NEW DBOX 2 (NOKIA 2X)

first job is to connect to pc......need either ethernet or xover ethernet cable depending on whether u r connecting thru router

no prob with connecting, do I use a cross over & null modem?
I flashed the 10c image onto an old box, but it appears to be a sat image, if so what mods have to be done, if not what did I do wrong??

I dont know, I set the area & then do a scan, is there something I am missing??????

u will need to ftp some files, r u able to do that or do u use ifa to flash....

what do u see after u set ur location and scan?

Download a couple of guides and have a read Digital Kaos - Downloads - Guides
It's fairly easy to flash an image and set the box up. Have a read and if you have any problems just ome back here and ask

After setting location, have to reboot DBOX, after selecting scan a pop up message appears almost immediately saying no transponders found.

No transponders, no channels.

Yes can ftp files.

Are you sure the cable line is going into antenne ?

i know i have only just joined this forum but ive been lookin at this thread for a few hours as i got a dbox yesterday from my dads which stopped working a few months ago. I have talked to my techy friend and he says that there are no new valid codes for the dbox and isnt sure when there will be, so:
*is it worth swattin up on the dbox, flashin, flash fxp and all other related items?
*would you let me know if you can get the cannels back working so im not wastin my time?
*will the dbox ever work again?
sorry to be a newbie buttin in but just thought id be a bit cheeky an ask you guys as it seems you know what your talkin about.

im also in the liverpool area.

If its a Dbox 2 it only needs the rom7 files ftp ing to the box
