If your box is freezing then you need gbox.......
As your image as not got gbox what i would do is save your service & bouquets from lake to your pc then flip them to blade or get the gbox file from your blade image using newtuxflash from downloads....

The same way that you flash a image........
But the service & bouquets files go in var/tuxbox/conf/zapit then press dbox button then go to service press that then press on channel reload this will give you channels.

Connect to your dbox from your pc then press on VAR then TUXBOX then CONFIG then ZAPIT now you will see your service & bouquets files save both somewhere safe on your pc.
Now transfer your blade image to TMP file save it by remote to box.
When image as flashed then reconnect to dbox then transfer the files you saved to VAR/TUXBOX/CONFIG/ZAPIT then reload channels in the service menu..

Download Flashfxp from downloads it as a guild to connect to your box you also need a crossover cable to connect your pc to box.

Not sure about vista. I have XP and to get FTP to work I must turn off all firewalls & antivirus stuff. Then have to disable my wireless connections and have my IP settings correct on the dbox and PC
