Missing Channels, Nagra3 is there a link???

right this is a strange one, flashed my dads dbox2 with commando V10 cause he lost slysp1,2,3 and some other channels when he was running lakys-sylas. he's glasgow south ntl and never usually gets any problems. there's only one thing he gets loads more channels than me (all the regional/national channels example, bbc1 england, anglia). done all the usual i.e set location and the like but still no slysp1,2,3..then re-flashed lakys-sylas again and guess what still missing channels... is there a link to this nagra 3 stuff thats happening across the water since he,s getting all the regional channels

thought that myself but just wasn,t 100% sure.
he does get a massive amount of channels that i don,t
it,s as if he is connect to the whole country instead of just scotland

maybe your image is fta only and requires magic files to make it tick.

normally an image write up and its pdf file will tell you if this is the case.

Run through the entire thing and do a re-scan and the lot.

Eliminate every other possibility first.

all the file are there FPT them no probs.... get most sly channels apart from 90% movies and sly sp 1,2,3.

done all that. the only thing i have not done is a full ifa image reflash.. as if it was a kein system???

don't you find it strange that the old man picks up all the bbc and itv regional channels.... i only pick up a small percentage of what he does

could he be on a main Line? hub? server? type thing?????????

Back up your image and your Dad's image. Flash your Dad's image on your machine and see what it does at his house and then yours. Take your Dad's box to yours and see what happens.

It could be the tuner in your Dad's is a top one I suppose, or something to do with the cabling in the respective houses so trying both boxes and the images etc will help you eliminate or isolate if one of those possibilities proves right.

he's ntl glasgow south and am tw udddingston so different settings, so what i could do is take his box to my house change settings to my location and re-scan..

still cannot get the channel but when i checked the settings on the vm samsung box i noticed vm had changed the frequency setting from 755000 to 499000. once i changed the frequency on the image i can now do a fast scan and pick up channels, before i had to do full scans, so now here's the question
do i have to change symbol rate and netid ?
