Dbox - Broken TUner

Hi all
My dad decided to be too enthusiastic and decided to snap the antenna input from the box. i can see its broken clean off the tuner.

Is there anyway i can solder it back? it doesnt look like an easy solder as it is not like joining 2 things on an even plane.

can anybody help me with this. I mean any place where they do this or can anybody help on the forum?
im willing to pay for the service, as the box is/was totally functional and it will be a shame to loose it.

You will find it easier to solder a piece of coax to the tuner and then the input socket to the coax.

Ah iv seen a box in that sorry state before,it dont look too good, i looked at soldering bit or rgb cable with a connection on the end coming from the box. its a pain stripping the tuner..

Your best bet is to buy an F-type Chassis Socket (FE98G from Maplin- 99p) then have this professionally soldered in by a local TV repair specialist.
