scanning dbox

just wanted to know if i scan a dbox in manchester area will it work in the warrington area if it is set to manchester?

If the netid,frequency and symbolrate are the same then yes
if not then you will have to do the setmylocation via the blue button then do a fast scan.

i have a problem with my mums dbox i flashed it and scanned it in manchester and had it workin perfectly untill she got up to warrinton and now has no channles at all and its not finding any on a scan is it better to do a fast scan rather than a slow one
i also got her to change loction on the box to warrington for the scan but still nothing and cables ect are connected any1 any ideas? thnks

Fast scan only works if the setmylocation has been done for that area
a slow scan should work does it find any transponders when doing a slow scan
dont forget to press red to save settings if she changes anything in the scan menu before scanning
Warrington is 6887 i think manchester is 6952

its not finding any transponders at all on slow scan but have told her to do the fast scan now as the dbox is now set to warrington

After changing stuff In the scan menu she has to press red to save before doing a scan if it has 6887 along side cable provider try setting it to 6952 or visa versa then red to save then scan.

ok my mum has done that but the frequency is still the same as mine will that need changing aswell?

still no joy tryd 6887 and 6952 and rebooted and scanned still not finding any providers but finds like 303 transponders i am not sure what to try now any ideas?

No. You need to scan in an area with the same net id.
