Am i pissing in the wind..

here or is there a way of getting around this problem.

I seem to have hardware damage to sound on my dbox2 sagem. or so i think, what do i know though, sometimes it took me 50 attempts or more to get IFA to work.

But strangley now im watching channels ok (sounds ****** tho), i can flash just about first time, everytime using just a crossover cable. I seemed to run into more problems buying a null modem cable (how Bizarre).

Ive tried other flashes, settings etc, done a fair bit of researching, AND GETTING SHIT HOT TIPS FROM YOU V.I.P. GUYS, and the rest THANKYOU ALL! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!.

Anyway blah blah blah, CAN you get around sound not working properly. ie. stream to PC or something. Ive tried different scart leads. Ive tried outputting straight from RF ports at back of box to an amp. same dreaded sound. Ive even tried to go straight from old antena lead, but its no longer available.

Sorry to babble on but do i need a new freaking box?, coz i will just buy another sagem, if needs be. There just seems to be something special about that box. And i think its that motorolla. similar chip to an AMIGA. If only i had a new AMIGA i wouldnt have any of this SHIT! that i keep running into with PCs. sorry if i offended anyone buts that just the way it is. Germany made AMIGAS just like these boxes of dreams.

My A1200 is more use to me still sometimes.

So does anybody no the crack with dodgey sound troubles?, coz i can solder, but i wouldnt attempt a sound chip which is CXA2126Q BTW. too high tech 4 me, done a few PS1 chips for games thats about it.

Is there a way, or is it a new box, your votes please.

Need more info on the dodgy sound really.

    Is it breaking up?
    Chirping?
    Just cutting out completely?

Is your picture quality ok or is it pixelated, freezing or blurring?

    You see...

It maybe something like a loose connection on your co-ax cable. Or your signal may be a little weak because your tuner may be on its way out.

You could even try flashing another image onto the box or just change ucodes to see if this helps.

But more information would be helpful.

Then that could be EMF interference from other electrical items / cables etc nearby. You need to check your digi cable all the way from the wall socket to the dbox for dodgy connections- in particular, where the braided screening isn't making good contact.

And the Antenna co-ax socket on the back of the box- is the cable end a good tight push-fit into this, or loose and floppy?

          Cheers- AL
