    Problem flashing new image

After that last major key change I put the dbox2 away and now I have decided to have a go at puting a new image .This is what I have done. Using cute ftp I connected the dbox and transferred the image to the tmp folder and then going into the service menu on the box I tried to update the image, but I cannot see the file that I downloaded. The image that I have at present is Commando 6 and I tried to flash the box with Commando 11. My question is am I using the wrong software to flash as I tried using IFA but I have problem connecting the box. Even I manage to transfer the image am I right I still need to put the keys .

    dbox

    Hi vasli2

when you transfered your image with cute ftp to box did you reboot box afterwards as this would have removed it from temporary folder

why dont you flash the image with imagetobox so long as you have ip of box and the remote it is very simple to use

once you have flashed the image you will still need to input the keys and latest update

when you use ifa did you unplug and restart box?

Thanks pieeater. yes I was unplugging the box. That also explains why I could not see the backed up image before flashing the new one. I will try imagetobox.

If you transfer the rom7 into the keys folder the old image will be resurected.

I had this box for long time and after the last major key change I gave up as I never flashed the box. After reading about the new commando image I had a go and got the box
          working.
I used fxp to transfer the image to the tmp folder then using
the remote updated the image and then loaded the magic files and scan the box .
