    Laky Sylus scan settings

So I'm all set up with Laky Sylus with my srvs's and bquet's etc. Unfortunately I'm still missing a few chans such Sentampa sprts newz, lvrpool, Arsnl and Cltc channels so I want to do a scan.

I've set my location pressing the blue button.
I've tried umpteen different settings in service scan and I'm still getting no channels when I run a scan.

I've tried Scan mode's "Complete" and "One transponder" then putting in my EM frequency settings from my subbed box but still no channels.

Do I need to alter Modulation, FEC and NETID?

    What am I doing wrong??

    I'm having the same trouble.

All the movie channels have vanished along with the Setantas.

    Anybody got a solution ?

cc's have been swapping a lot of channels around recently. The channels will come back after they stop messing about. You dont need to reflash and it's got nothing to do with the cam.

Therefore a scan should fix the problem. But what settings are the correct settings using Laky Sylus?

set your location usually is all you need do. If i read your op right you are only missing the channels you've mentioned. You've changed some of the settings and its picking up nothing now on a scan, is that right?

You need your frequency, symbol rate and netid. Modulation should be left on auto and scan mode complete.

                What area are you in?

I've set my location to my area Sth Lnrkshire using the blue button on the remote.

                  I've then gone into scan
                  • Scan for services: all services
                  • Bouquet: leave current
                  • cable provider: Vrgn Mdia
                  • Scan Mode: Complete

Because I've left "scan mode" on "complete" the following are greyed out but I changed them anyway by changing it to "one transponder", then adding my location settings as follows then changing it back to "Complete":
                  • Frequency: 61900 (greyed out)
                  • Modulation: QAM_AUTO (greyed out)
                  • Symbol Rate: 6952 (greyed out)
                  • FEC: 3/4 (greyed out)
                  • NETID: 00005

                  Sections Scan: off

Still I get "scan failed" No channels.

                    Found it in another thread,

                    frequency for Sth Lnkshire 619000

                    net id = 40984

                    sym rate = try 6952

Seems to be scanning properly now. Sweet! :-)

it's the complete scan that was causing the problem, by selecting that it was greying out your location settings and therefore doing a bruteforce scan.

Exactly. Also the fact I had the wrong NETID in those greyed out parts which I was unaware of.

You know you didn't have to flash the commando image to your dbox to rip the files. You could have opened the image in windows with newtux flash tool and saved the files to your desktop from there.
