      Hi

I read that guide provided by stu666 and there is no mention of a TV card it says that i can connect it using a cross over cable

Ive got the set up right i just dont get any picture on any channles and i get sound on bbc 1, 2 etc the freeview stuff but no picutre, any ideas as to why that could be?

Ive rebooted my computer and dbox and still nothing

Also you say a TV card any in particular because that would be less hassle =P but because i havent got much money left id rather explore this option

I think the member is asking how to watch the dbox on his pc using his crossover cable so he dont need a pci tv card
        @funnyguy
Try using the built in yweb to see if you can watch fta channels first
        open ie and type
        http://***.***.***.***

if u want a pc tv card instead of streaming from dbox u have choices

a std dvb-t card where u should get all the freeview channels

or a dvb-c card which with the right software or hardware is the same as a dbox

both need their own feed from digi aerial or another split in ur cable

            cheers

spts on? whats that sorry dont really know all the technical terms.

And i have a router but i still would get disconnected from the internet when i enter the dbox ip settings, right?

and ultimately i want to be recording from my dbox straight to the computer but i cant get the normal playback of channels on to the pc to work

no, i use pc and dbox hard wired to router - run a normal ethernet to port of router and u should be ok....

spts normally dbox - settings - driver & boot...may get some crackling when changing channels....switch back off and reboot if it don't help

Well that is fine and I wish all the best for any advice given to Funnyguy on how to watch Dbox on his PC.

From my experience I am using Dbox connected to TV card watching S*y Sport 2 (Golf PGA Pro-Am Championship) on the top right hand side of my monitor wile I am writing this reply.
