cant get media player to work xp

Hi all I am a comlete dbox newbie.

I have got my dbox2 working fine all channels ect but I am having real problems getting media palyer to work with my pc. can some one point me to a step by step guied or explain step by step how you do it .

I have my dbox conected to my router I have pionted media player at the ip of my pc and set the defult gateway to my routers ip ,I have turned the firewall off on my router and made a folder c: movies on my pc .

if I test settings in networks everything pings fine but if i try to use media player it hangs and says server not found.

I have sporster 1.0 uk on my dbox2 and I am running xp prof sp3.

I recon it is proberbly somthing simple and im just being dumb ass . but I need help before I pull my hair out PLEASE

i think you need to share the folder as well

You need to share the folder on the pc and then mount it through the dbox2.

still no joy I have installed neutrino tv and that dose not work when i first tried it it worked fine after the first go I have been unabe to make it conect it says dbox activly refused conection. also yweb wont let me view live everything else works fine but if i try live view i just get the vlc cone in the viewing window but thats it. I am truely puzzeld and would be VERY gratfull if someone can help me.

at the bottom of the screen on neutrino tv it says " this is NOT a neutino image neutrino tv only supports neutrino image
