connecting to a router issue nokia DB2

    good evening all!

I've been a happy punter using a DBox 2 for around a year now - so far I've learned how to setup commando and add a few bits ....

I'm now expanding a bit and want to connect the DBox to my network - however when I connect to my Netgear router the connection lights up orange rather than green on the router. I am doing this via a standard RJ45 cable, and while I've looked over the forum for a guide on how to get this setup I'm stuck.

My DBox is set to 192.168.1.100 as IP address and should be spotted as a connected device however its simply not appearing.

I suspect I'm doing something wrong rather than having faulty gear - does anyone have a guide to do this or some tips as to where I am going wrong?

    Cheers

Has the network been selected on boot in settings? (dbox settings network) also try test network now.

also always start/reset network now the router should pick up the box. type in the ip address into your browser and a yweb screen should appear.

      good luck

My dbox also shows up with an orange connection light. I think it means limited connection which sounds about right as the ethernet card in the dbox is a 10mb connection instead of a 100mb connection. I dont get any problems with it though, all works fine.
