    broken antenna

    hi all my sons managed to break the connection on back of his nokia dbox2, as i have not got a clue how to fix this i was wondering would a tv repair shop fix this and if so would i need to put a new image on it once its been repaired ,and anyone got a rough idea how much this would cost ?hoping no more than ?30. tx stags

    no shop

    mate u wouldnt want to take it to a shop u probly get done for this because it is criminal offence using any other typ of recievers from other countrys

      Get one of these from maplins and solder it in
      Couple of quid max
      Do it right and its as good as new.................Paul

        I just used a big fat soldering iron to reconnect the outer part. Then a fine pointed tip to do the internal part.

            I had one fixed in tv repair shop last month cost ?20 and works fine.

              tx all for your input , thing is i have never done soldering so not confident in trying, can anyone recomend a shop that might do it in scotlands capital tx again stags

                Take it to any repair shop they'll do it if your worried remove the info from inside k*ys and scce then it's FTA but I've never heard of a repair shop grassing someone up

                    What a load of bull,if you dont want to have a go at it,just take it to any repair shop most anyway probably up to no good anyway ,they probably would,nt even think that you have to put a male connector onto a cable feed anyhow

                      if your taking it to a shop you might aswell see if they will fit the proper f type connector or whatever it is to screw in like the proper box as ive got similer probs with a loose connector on the back, it keeps coming out.

                        I'll have a look at it for you if you like. I live in Scotland's capital and work in electronics so soldering is not a problem.
