    Interference Noise from dbox2?

    Hey people
Does anyone have some noise coming from their dbox? It's like a background interference noise which sometimes goes very high pitched and can be quite offputting at times. Im using a standard scart lead. Have tried 3 different leads but same problem and tried 2 tellies. Even when VM cable is unplugged the noise is there (even though no signal/channels), so its not the cable.

    Any ideas?

Never seen this, might be a faulty box.

Could be the power supply is on the way out(again, it might not be ).

Sound like R/F interference. Try moving cables away from mains cables / power points. Cheers- AL

Hmmm. Ive just tried the box at my other tele (the big un), and I dont get any interference sounds. Very odd indeed. This is using the exact same scart as well. Moving it away from other wires hasn't helped either.

Its really weird, because when commando starts up (with or without the cable), there is a very loud interference sound, and then it quietens down. This is on two of my teles (both smallish). But on the big tele this doesnt happen. Maybe its haunted

Nice one mate..you sorted the problem out. That is a bit strange that you are getting noise from one of your scart sockets. Have you tried plugging any other device(xbox 360 or ps3) into the av1 scart socket to see if they experience the same noise? If they are there could be something up with the scart socket.
