    Can Anyone Help?

    Hi,

I have just tried to flash my dbox with the commando 11 image. However after it rebooted it doesn't seem to load, no splash screen or anything, just a black empty screen and I can't even connect to the box via FTP, any ideas?

Download HALLENBERG IFA flashing assistant- try downloads-dbox-tools
Study info before you start, it should sort you out.
Might be as well to use fresh IMAGE in case one used is corrupt

Better to use null modem & crossover with IFA
Flash progress & data are shown on PC when using both cables

Same here Paul. I only ever used a crossover cable or flashed via wireless connection

              THE TRUTH
              The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

I 'm no expert, but with HALLENBERG IFA the flash is sent to the box via
ethernet crossover & step by step process of the flash is sent to PC screen
via null modem.I prefer knowing flash is taking than to sit in front of an blank
                screen hoping it's going OK.
I read thru a lot of posts & PAUL seems to know what he's about. He said he
never used 2 cables, but he didn't knock it,he's too wise for that.
There are other people on forums with medals on their chests for 100's of posts, & sometimes reading their posts you wonder are they drunk.
You're a seasoned campaigner Bulldog you might be able to get your hands
on a HALLENBERG IFA (or similiar) program suitable for dream 500,or a
                Commando image for dream 500
My mate put DK1.1 on his Open Media & the box just keeps trying to
                reboot every 60 secs.It won'trespond to FXP or dream-up.
If I could use Commando with hallenberg ifa it would sort it out.
I could then use D-box N2 fix as it works on dream.
Get back to me on that

I Agree use IFA with a null modem and crossover cable then you will see the connection is active as it is working loading the image if the screen has gone on the dbox otherwise you wont get the message when flash is complete

it will work without null modem if you wanted to try i have done it this wayjust wait long enough for flash to complete just make sure you use correct image type ie 1x or 2x depending which box you have
