please save a young man from going bald due to a dbox

im hoping some one can help me from completley pulling all my hair out in the week that i have had my box.

right brought a dbox 2 sagam x1 off the internet came with an image for it on a disk plus extras.

got it home plugged it in got all extras on a CD did a scan got all the free to air channels no problem. not what i wanted the box for so decided to change the image as my dad has laky pro on a nokia with all the channels and very impressed. so over the last week i have spent every hour not at work scanning the various images onto my box trying to get more channels. same again set location scan only FTA channels. more searching on the forums told me to egt a service.xml dowloaded this from certain site used flash ftp put into my service folder rebooted did the scan again and now my system gets no channels no transponders nothing. tried to change the image various times image goes on fine same thing nothing, even the ones where i have got FTA chanels before i put the service folder in nothing not even FTA channels.a so for the sake of my hair help is needed from the experts. i have rad every froum note goign tried pressing the red then blue button even this dont work tried unplugging and replugging stuff in nothing. do i need to put my box back in debug and satrt again? does the service.xml change when i put in a new image or does it stay the same and i have put the wrong image in ie notts 1 instead of notts 2. im not one them people who just asks for help straight away i have tried all the suggetsions but i am now just looking for straight help to get soem thing on my tv.

when you say scan and get only fta, does this mean only fta channels clear but you still have the other channels in the program guide, if so u are missing some important files....kys, cams maybe others as well.

options are: -

get a copy of the working laky pro from your dads box - convert to 1x with imageworks - flash to ur box

or

get the real magc files from h**p://www.mercs.us/Tools.htm and add them to respective folders

i recently put the laky pro image on my mates box and it needs the rom 7 fix putting on . i just deleted all the other roms that were on and it works fine. hope you get sorted .

when you say scan and get only fta, does this mean only fta channels clear but you still have the other channels in the program guide, if so u are missing some important files....kys, cams maybe others as well.

yeah could only see the FTA channels ie BBC itv etc all the others were in the list and would show the epg and channel name when scrolling through but no picture ie sports, movies etc.

Now i have lost all of that no free to air channels i am just a little worried that even when i have set my location to notts 2 the dox didnt even find any transponders when doing a scan like it did before, do i need to debug the box or just scan an image that works?? then put in the right keys and files etc.

box won't go out of debug mode

get an img that scans and add the necessary files
