But I Cut out the middleman and go direct with a crossover cable

As paul says disable n/work cards & any protection on P.C. that may be
hindering IFA, just be sure to re-set all when you are finished. That
garbled rubbish on d-box screen is fine, it's german for I'm ready.
Read instructions for HALLENBERG IFA, all will be revealed.
When you re-commence BATTLE OF D-BOX check if PAUL is online,
he'll talk you thru it. A lot of us are au fait with linux flashing & FTP, but
Paul is able to see into it's brain. So do what he tells you & ignore the
rest of us if our posts contradict Paul. Always be wary of advice of a
novice, or member who's using a basic (e.g.SV1,2,3,4) box themselves.
Once the world of linux has been embraced fully you have to wonder how any member could continue to use basic cable tuner boxComment
