dbox2 signal problem (i think)

Was wondering if anyone could help. for soem reason my dbox has just to play up. The picture has become jittery and jumpy. I tried re-flashign a new image ( currently commando 11) but this hasny helped. i think it has something to do with the BER level. Its erratic. it goes from 800 to 60k. I havent alltered anything cabling wise and i've ran out of ideas as to what could be causing it

Unplug from mains then check the cable connections are good and if you have it on a splitter try it without it.

As far as i know BER should be below 20,000
SIG above 30,000
SNR 55,000 to 65,000
The SNR is the most important of the 3
If PAUL (plasterer) is about he'll correct me if i'm wrong
Freezing is usually caused by poor connections or cables causing a weak signal

Have seen boxes running perfect on sigs of 13000

Just to add sagems can show a sig of 0 and still work perfectly the snr is the most important reading.

Don't mind that, it,s a very old Britvic add, It has no relevance today. A lot of
the cubs here wouldn't be old enough to remember it anyway.

Hmm i always read the whole thread as to get the full perspective on whats been said
i gave my input about the sig on sagems and just reiterated the fact about the snr which plasterer and yourself had mentioned earlier and i cant see a problem in doing so.

Heavy rain in S.E. IRL, we don't like it, so we'll send it on to yous.

My opinion is that you want to be a bit more circumspect about what you are posting and show a bit more respect to member(s) who have helped endless numbers of people on here and other forums.

Still don’t understand what your beef is but trying to be a “smart arse”, to me, isn’t make you look clever, in fact, the exact opposite.
