Hi I have a dilema I wa originally using laky-dylas image the christmas edition but had a problem with my aerial so had to get it repaired. When i got the dbox2 back I was missing some of the channels event hough i had done a location scan and service scan, I thought it might have been down to the image so I downloaded commando 11 but to no avail I want to reinstall my original lakys image but cant seem to connect to the dbo anymore the I have look for the IP address on the commando image but it is 000.000.000.000 and when i input this into my FTP i get nothing, can anyone help do i need a new password. I am new to all this and wish i had just left the goddam box alone

What did you have done with the box?the box and your cable feed should auto ip,try re-boot the box hold power button and channel up on box see if that gives you ip,if not can you enter manually the ip one below your pc. Then FTP. MComment

Cheers thanks for all your help. the problem I had with my box was that when it was bought the aerial was dodgy and ended up breaking off. I dont think the new connection is that good and maybe this is why I cant pick up the channels. I have now put anew image one but am still missing a few channels mainly sky sports 1 do you think an amplifier might do the trick. Do i need any codes in order to recieve these channels and if so could anyone point me in the right direction cheers.Comment

Was it just the ariel connector you had replaced or the full tuner,if it is was just the connector then maybe it is that and an amp may work ,how many channels are missing?have you put all the correct files on/which new image have you put on nowComment

Hi it was just the aerial was rersoldered back in place all the files seem to be correct but being new to all this i culdnt be sure. My main thought was it might be the aerial and was considering buying an amp but dont really know where to look. The only channels missing are sky sports 1 and the movie channels

A powered amplifier would be best from any elec store maplin,Argos. best deal springs to mind,however if you are receiving most channels I don't think that is the problem follow the info you find and see how you go,dk gets a lot of repeat threads the answers are there but if you need further help stick to 1thread and you will get help thnx mickyComment
