nokia d-box

mate give me his nokia d-box for free when i start the box it says sportster and then
baseimage-2.0
erstellongs datum-29-04-2005

bbc itv channel 4 and five works rest of them dont work
i have looked at the download sec.. the first pic of the nokia box in there its same one
what i am asking do i just need to download the image to make it work and which one or do i have to do more things to make it work. last any one know what box it it is it 1 or 2

are all the other channels there? just blank? or do they say 'channel unavailable'.

Sounds like it might just need the most recent ROM fix. sounds like an old image so it might not have a 'setmylocation' function so it scans your area.

Personally, i'd
1) take a backup of the current image (without boot loader)
2) flash a new image - commando 11 for example.
3) set your location and reboot
4) scan for channels
5) get it on the network/connect to your pc with cross over patch lead
6) FTP the important magic files into their correct places
7) start the CAM
8) enjoy.

i only done eurovox before new to d-box
all the channels r there but only the bbc itv channel4 and five works all the other say " channel no available"
how do i fix this is there quick fix or do i have to follow your 7 steps is there any guide to do these 7 steps please point me in right direction thanks again any one
