Updating Channels on Dbox2

Hi

On a dbox2 how do I do update channels without doing a full scan and without losing the current bouquet settings. I have checked and searched the posts but don't get the same options as others where you can keep the current bouquet settings.

The box is running on:

laky pro 1
image: newmake-image
cycle: 2.0
Imagetype: Snapshot
Date: 07.04.2008

Would you guys recommend an image update. If so which is best?

I want to do a channel update to get rid of the Setanta Channels and get the ESPN which is currently showing on Celtic TV.

Your best option at the moment is to flash the latest commando image, just make sure you read the included readme and all will be fine

what box have you got nokia or sagem if its a nokia it be a
2x img if it a sagem it could be a 1x or 2x img also the images
are in the downloads section

if you're happy with your current image - DONT reflash! there's no need!

in the service scan, screen - make sure bouquet setting is set to 'Leave Current' then any new channels are put in - 'New Channels'

thanks for the posts they,ve been a great help

but i've brought a different image file in my dbox while flashing and completely changed the menu wiping the entire list of channels. also when i try to undo this by flashing again i cannot connect it to the pc. The box doesnt even have an ip address anymore

any ideas? maybe some sort of system reboot?

please help

Just try re-boot hold power button+channel up button see if on booting you get an ip,what image have you put on?
