help please

hi
put a new image on the box, but it did not work then realised i had put on times 1 image not times 2 image, it then said klein system on it, i then flashed another image onto it loaded fine, but now its not even picking up the time no channels found waiting for time, loaded 3 images onto it now they all load correctly but same always waiting for time, any ideas guys please help .

are the imgs u trying - back-up copies of your old ones or brand new images? if u haven't saved imgs once set up then u will have to start all over again as new imgs are fta and do not have all the necessary files present and u will have to rescan to get ur services and sort out ur channel order again for ur bouquet......

always best to back up imgs once u have them as-u-like

Hi,
Once you have flashed the image ,If you backed up your previous services and bouquets you can ftp these to the box.
If you have not backed these up you will need to scan for services and we will need to know the image your are using to assist further?

hi guys thank you for the quick response .

ok here goes, commando 11 is now the image on the box it is a brandnew image has i did not save original image, i cannot do a scan has the box will not pick the time up, am i right in thinking the reason the box will not pick the time up is because the keys and roms are not in there ?

Hi,
Assuming you mean the scan found channels and they say waiting for time on the info banner?
Was the box working ok previously and are you receiving free to air channels ie bbc1?

ok, box before scan was picking up the time and free to air channels, epg ect, but it was also freezing, so this is why i flashed new image, 1st image i flashed came up klein system, 2nd,3rd,4th,5th image all went in perfect , dbox2 boots up great, but will not pick up the tmie(clock) so unable to pick up any transponders at all so no channels at all no free to air anymore, ther are no keys or roms in the files just wondering if thats why it wont pick up the clock time, or should it do this anyway ?

the clock should be ok not any reason for it not to work, it doesn't show on epg and lcd?......anyhow b4 u worry about getting that sorted, press blue - set ur location and scan for services....see how u get on

As MetMan says don't worry about the time as until you get a successful scan you will not pick up the correct time.
If your box is a Sagem these can be very picky with regards to images, if you cannot get commando11 to scan I would suggest you return to the image that picked up fta channels and we can then help you from there (freezing can normally be rectified by running gbox and point you in the right direction regarding non fta).

If your not picking up the time or transponders maybe the tuner has gone. Press the red button followed by the bluie button on any channel. This will give you the strength of the signal, if I remember correctly the SNR should read 55000+. If it doesnt then the tuner has gone.
Or you can try and connect it to the main feed coming to into house, as that is the strongest singnal.

Its not "~~~~ed" mate!
It does not like the commando image, what was the image that received fta channels?
I know that one was freezing but it will make a good start point as we will be able to assess your signal etc once we have channels being received.

original image was sportstar, but i did not save that, will use flashing assistant now and load a new sportstar back in will let you no results in ten mins .
