    Only getting FTA channels

    Hi All,

I have just this after noon flashed my dbox with commando 11 the end.
I have downloaded the magic files edited them to be 755 and then ftp'd the files over - is this correct.

I am using filezilla to ftp.

I then scanned the dbox using the folllowing settings cable provider CableUK, scan mode UK Brute Force, Auto scan is off.

The scan goes on and it picks uo the 144 channels including the radio dchannels but still no Sports movies etc....all i seeis the FTA channels.

I am trying this in Dublin any help grreatly appreciated.

One more thing is that i wasn't sure what to do with the libcrypto file in the magic files is this needed?

    Hi,
Did you set your location prior to scanning, press blue button on dbox remote twice to access commando menu and select set my location for scanning?
If not do this then go to service menu and perform scan

Did you apply the sp1 and sp2 fixes for commando 11?
The files you transferred are incorrect but will not effect what the scan pickups(didn't mention this earlier as it could confuse the issue). There is a link to the correct files in the thread in the following link: http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...ireland-43813/

Does it pick up the sports movies etc but the channel does not clear or do these not appear at all when scanning?

I have had a similar problem today also, as the user above had, I also flashed Commando 11 and the "magic files" to the relevant locations:

          var_bin_emu for cams
          var_keys for the roms etc

A scan shows up all the channels it should, but none of the encrypted channels show up. I have tried leaving it on s sports for far too long, and its not updating.

I used the same process on an oldish Andromeda image 6 months ago and this worked fine. I don't think I missed anything out this time?

          Has anybody got any pointers/ideas?

Sorry, I should have mentioned that in my post. Yes I CHMODed the permissions of the cams using FlashFXP once the files had been flashed over to the dbox.

                    Smartie,
You need to confirm if when you scan you are picking up sky sports etc. If the channels are coming up in the scan (sky sports 1 etc) but do not clear (no picture) then you need to ftp the files in the link below to the following locations:
var/bin/emu = mgcamd (overwrite existing and chmod 755 once transferred).
                    var/keys = autoroll,softcam,priority.list (overwrite existing).
                    DVB-UPLOAD v.1.6b
Once files are transferred go to softcam menu (blue button select softcam menu) and ensure mgcam is the active cam. Go to sky sports 1 and wait for channel to clear.
You also need to confirm you have applied the sp1/2 fixes for commando 11.
Please note the original "magic" files you transferred are incorrect.

                      Hi Noob,

File size looks OK, are the fta channels showing?

Many thanks to all those who have helped with this, I am very grateful.

I have managed to sort this by re-flashing the same image & files again, and it worked first time. In fact, it unscrambled the encryption in under a second. I think I may like this image!

There must have been a slight problem with the original flash. Im glad I tried uploading the image again, because I would have spent many frustrated hours in front of this laptop if I hadn't. If anyone has similar problems, this might be worth a try because even if it doesn't help you, it only takes 5 minutes.

Again thanks to all who offered to help, especiallyMetMan who was prepared to go beyond the call of duty.
