    Hyperthreading on new PC's Laptops

How do you guys flash a new image with new computers these days?

I always had an old PC with an old Serial port and never had any problems. No I have new a PC and a laptop without a serial port and everytime I try to flash using image flashing assistant I get the hyperthreading error?

Go into the pc bios and see if you can turn hyperthreading technology off save and exit then turn it back on after you have flashed the box.

Cool I'll give it a try.

I presume you use a null modem adapter too or do you just flash with Crossover cable?

The only time you need to use IFA to flash a box is if its not booting up otherwise you can just use flashfxp and crossover to ftp the image to the /tmp folder and flash it using the rc and the dbox menu's.
