new and dumb,dbox 2

hey,trying to flash my d box for first time,trying to find out how,got my nokia d box 2,boy said it was in linux mode,no idea what that it.
box works,only shows free channels at mo,
think it has blade image on it the now.i have downloaded ifa.
waiting on cables.
what do i need to do to get the channels updated?
my tv listings olso dont show newer channels,espn etc
will i get these when i update the box.
im begging for some straight talking help.
tryed down loading help guides on hear but wont let me yet as im new.
please help an amature.

Push blue on remote
Blue again Blade settings
Red UK scanning
Red set my location,Push ok
Now scroll to your area and push ok
Box will reboot and will be ready for scanning

Dbox on remote
Service
Service scan
Scan for services= All services
Bouquet=Leave Current
Cable Provider=All uk scanning
Fast scan =On
Section Scan= Off
Red button to save settings
Blue button to start scan
