ive got the image. do i flash it with ifa or do i have to use another programme.

You can use IFA or you can ftp the image to the tmp folder and flash using the remote

ive just tried with ifa but it is a rar file instead of img file. have i downloaded the right image. thanks

a rar file is a bit like a zip file, u need winrar , google winrar When u extract the rar file u will have more files with a .img

i got a small prob with the infobar coming on screen every 1/2 hour or so. anyone else experience this and if so i would be grateful for any advice on how to turn it off.

dbox > Settings > Misc > Infobar > EPG Info

toggle this from Expanded (which auto-shows the Infobar on new program start) to Simple (which doesn't).

I just press dbox and then the power button, takes a couple of seconds.

If you don't know how to use Winrar, I wouldn't suggest trying to flash and setup a D-Box. They are quite easy to setup but not as easy as using an app like winrar - it might be a better option to keep your existing image assuming it's working.

dbox > Settings > Misc > Key Repeat Blocker > Delayed Shutdown

OFF by default (just to annoy users who like it On - but we don't like it On, and it's our Image, so tough, LOL!)
