Nokia Dbox2 (Not scanning any Channels) Help Please

Hi i just bought a Nokia Dbox2 off eBay which was up for spares and repairs. Thinking I could fix it i decided to buy it. I flashed Blade Quad 2x image on it set my location and scanned but when i try to scan for channels a couple of seconds later it just finishes and says no transponders found. Does anyone know what the problem could be because I am new to the dbox2 and don't know what could be wrong. I have read a few threads but still cant seem to find an answer maybe it could be a faulty tuner but not sure. Also if it is a faulty tuner how would I be able to fix this.
Please Could someone help I would be very grateful for any information that will help me solve the problem.

chances are the tuner is dead mate, hence why it was for sale as spares or repairs, tuners arent easy to do and tbh not worth it as most of these boxes are over 10 years old now

Usually know what they are selling,also you must understand that tuners are the usual fault ,spares and repairs is a clue however have a look see if there is any obvious damage to the ariel socket i.e:broken /soldered on dbox.but some people don't know about them and maybe something is missing like the files. needed to make this work

The back of dbox shows the aerial socket a bit out of place also i opened the box up and the tuner seems to be soldered
does this mean that it wont work then becuase i dont know how to repair them. Tried a few images on it but doesnt seem to work. If the tuner has gone isnt there any possible way to get it working again. Thanks for your help.

Hi mate when you say the tuner is soldered do you mean the ariel connection on tuner,you could try find a spare but not easy to come by plus not easy to put in,if it's the ariel you could have a go yourself.
Before we can decide it is tuner,when you flashed blade ing did you add the files roms,keys etc needed to make this work if you did not maybe that is the fault and not the tuner

personally, it's not worth the time, effort and money these days. buy a dm500c for around ?65 for a new device thats not 10 years old.

Hi the inside of the tuner is soldered and when i flashed the blade image all the files were inside it including keys and roms. I have decided to put it back on ebay and sell it for spares or repairs. Also Manofscience is the dm500c any good can you make it recieve all channels like the dbox2 also where could i get it from.thanks

have a look in the dreambox cable forums m8.plenty of advice about DM500.its the same idea with the flashing of images,transferring of files etc as a dbox
i got a dbox2 and a DM500c.personally i prefer the dbox although i gotta admit that the DM500 is far more pleasing to the eye (its about a quarter of the size of a dbox)

did you try a bruteforce scan? if the tuners weak then try a booster and bruteforce scan, you might pick up some channels if not all. I have a nokia dbox which picks up nothing without a booster, with which it picks up everything
