Sagem 1x - tuner gone?

hi,

new here but do have some experince with dbox2,this is bugging me and could do with some advice.

sorry if this has been covered b4.

got a 2nd box,left it as it was when i bought it virgin v2.0 lite.Great image by the way.

woke up one day id lost lots of channels 100+ saying channel not availible.

re-scanned a few time,only picks up 216 tv (all radio and data)

no e s p n and loads of others.

flashed dozen of images,got magics in the right place and so 0n.Same result,im guessing its the tuner but other extra channels work fine s.sports free channels,no freexe,sound issues.now using commando 11

BER min 0 max 120
snr min 61427 max 62848
sig min 5389 max 6498
bit min 2798 max 3846

roughly the same on all channels but does get better signal sometimes.Forgive me for sounding stupid but does the tuner have different parts for different transponders? something like that? Or is this common and can be fixed?

u say 2nd box? so if 1st box ok backup the img to pc and flash to 2nd box as long as their both the same no. of chips if not convert img first.....

my other box is sagem 2x and it works great with v. lite.I can get hold of another 1x from a mate but would that really make a difference back image up from that?

hi,thanks for your,probably a daft question but - im gonna convert the back up to 1x ,do i convert to 1x with no bootloader?

as i say im ok flashing when i know what im doing

Yes m8 1x no bootloader (always no bootloader!).

ok,backed up image from other box,converted,flashed to 1x

missing channels were listed in bouquets,with "channel not available"

i scanned still only picking up 216 tv n0w 17 radio and 44 data,all other channels inc. extras still running fine.

any ideas? tuner?

if using the same feed as the working box then it looks like the box is on its way out or just weaker tuner.......could try a booster

yeah tried it on all 4 feeds in the house,bugger paid ?60 for 1 weeks worth.Nevermind got a nice blue lcd so thats about ?20 back and probably about time i paid for something.

box looks brand new 2,i was really happy - damn u ebay

ended up putting it back on ebay,sold for 30 so not bad got a new lcd and ?30 back,

happy-ish endings
