Please god... not more Dbox problems !!!

Having had a guts full of chirping / freezing problems on my one chip old sagem Dbox 2 - having tried nearly every image and ucode and cam, with little success - I decided to get another one.

I now own a mint 2 chip Nokia. Immaculate. I've put the latest commando image on there and cams - all looking and working great. Then.... gone all channels. After a reset, nothing. All channels lost. Tried a scan, nothing. Next morning tried a scan again - all the channels came back. Hours later, gone again. Reset it channels come back. And so on...

It just seems to lose everything when it feels like. Any advice ? Is it commando 11.3 ? Is it worth trying yet another image ?

These bloody machines will be the death of me....

As ever, any info would be gratefully appreciated. I've checked a few threads below this, but none seem to have any conclusive answers. Sorry if I'm going over the same ground.. It's driving me up the wall..

No reports of this on Comm image
Download the same image from another source
And Flash it again,Make sure your box is not over heating
Keep it in a well vented Place

You gotta remember ALL dbox2's are getting on 8 years old, no matter what condition you buy it in.

once a chirper always a chirper, a common manufacturing fault on many sagems that cannot be fixed. Get a new motherboard and slot that in.

Is overheating a problem ? How can I solve that problem ?
I installed commando 11.3 on my old dbox, then the magic files from a zip files I got from a post here, then my services/bouquet, then the gbox files - but the gbox cam wouldnt show any channels. I did select it via the new prompt (blue buttons) and got nothing.
So at the mo I have a box that chirps a lot and a newer box that just looses everything at random points of watching.
Could well be a heat problem on box2. Could an antenuator or signal booster help ?
