dead maybe?

hey all i think my parents dbox is dead it's a sagem 1x box and it was chirping last night then thismorning it only had fta channels and i realized it had switched cams tried to put it back to the cam i was using and it wouldnt do i so i thought i'd just flash it with the new commando but ifa said it wasnt a valid image size dunno if bootloader shouldda been present in the image, so i flashed it with the same image that was on there ( andromeda) good image at the time of flashing and never had any problems with it but now it doesnt even boot?
no picture and no kein system just lcd freezes and nuthing any ideas?

You should always flash without bootloader, If you selected flash with bootloader the box is buggered m8

no i allways flash without bootloader but when i loaded the commando image into ifa it said the image wasnt the right size thats why i mentioned it but thanx for your reply m8

Sounds like a bad download, Can highly recommend C11.3 as its a quality image so I would download again from here and give it another bash m8.

After you've un-RARed C11.3 - it's a Flash w/o Bootloader 2x image, exactly 8,257,356 bytes in size, m8!

What has happened here, and I'm 100% certain on this, is that your 1x conversion is bad- coz you told Image Converter to convert it to Flash with Bootloader, plain and simple!

Case solved, then... IFA will rescue your box, with the CORRECT sized image, LOL! Cheers- AL

will do m8 hopefully the box still has life in it, if not i was looking to buy them a cheap as chips box any recomendations of what one and where from m8?
maybe a dm500 clone or somthing?
