Hi folks, I am running Commando 11.3 on my Nokia and cannot get any games to work? - Yes, I know they are pony! For the Kids

I have d/l Pacman and Lemmings via online update but they do not show in the Games menu option?

I have also FTP'd the Games collection (I have Un-Rar'd) to Lib/Tuxbox/Plugins and have also Chmod the .so files to 755. These games all show in the Games option but refuse to start!

Anyone have any ideas?

Theres 2 lots of files per game .cfg,...so
and normaly you would set them to.
cfg need to be chmod644,....so to chmod 755 as you have done.

Thanks for yor response, attributes for the .cfg files are set to 644 and the .so have been changed to 755 but they just wont load! As mentioned before, they do show up in the games list?

Do you have the games.cfg file in with your games?

the write up tells you to ftp the lemmings.tar and pacman.tar file to the tmp file then do a manual update no need to give file permissions or anything or if your box can conect to the net do a online update i have done this for teli txt plugin and all was well.

First- are you sure your dbox IS connected to the Internet? If it's not, you'll have a 'phantom' install- which means you'll need to delete two marker files: /var/etc/.lemm and /var/etc/.pacman in order to unconfuse the Install/Uninstall Menus!

Check if your box is really online in the Network Menu (Red button)- but if the DNS field is blank in there, you're definately NOT online!

In this case- follow the instructions in the accompanying pdf readme for manual install - where you'll extract the two tarballs from the supplied Add-Ons Pack, ftp them to /tmp - then install them via the Manual Install 'goodies' Menu. Then they will definately work!

Unless your image has gone 'Read-Only' - in which case reflash with your backup image.

For games sourced from elsewhere, you'll almost certainly need to have libfx2.so (chmod 755) in the plugins folder, or most games won't work. This is included with lemmings and pacman, but will remove itself if both games are Uninstalled via the menu.

Top Man AL, like you say it was a phantom situation so I thought they were there! FTP'd the 2 games to /tmp and did manual install via yellow button and hey presto! And because the libfx2.so file was in there, the other games all started working too!

P.S. - AL, it seems the Croydon TW NETID is missing from SML:-

Cheers MetMan, my bad, I hadn't drilled down or scrolled down the page - I'm a numpty!
