looks fine mate you should just be able to scan to get channels,it says uk services which will probably be cable uk,but wouldnt worry if you know what your doing anyway....

you wouldnt need to flash new img, but maybe you dont like the img it comes with, but if it doesnt scan then you would need to flash your backup img..(make sure it is a 2x img).otherwise if you flash with 1x img you`ll ~~~~ your box up.
you wont need to open the box at all...m

Seller seems to be OK as well as the image, I personally used this guy Nokia Cable Receiver *Linux* DBox2 DBox 2 *new screen* on eBay (end time 07-Oct-09 09:03:55 BST)

Just becoz I wanted a fully working LCD Screen. Though the 2 or so lines on the screen aren't an issue most of the time.

Seems like they all come ready for plug and play to get FTA channels. Flashing an image will be a definate down the line to get extra channels.

Cams and Keys to get the Pay channels.

Good-luck and welcome to the club.

Can u jus confirm that this dbox2 is in debug mode.

Also will i need to add the keys, roms, emus or will it alredy be within the installed image therefore i jus hav to do a channel scan for my location to get all premium channels

Well in the header it says "linux debug",..so i would assume it,s in debug mode,...

And in item description it states,..Neutrino-Software for UK and Irland is already installed.

It is a brand-new Linux Neutrino image (new update for UK&Ireland)

With Bouquet and Lokal Services (Channels)of UK,

If i was buying it,...with the above information ,.....should be plug and play after a quick scan.

I really wouldn't suggest buying a dbox 2. They're now probably over 3+ years old. I do have a dbox2 but if it was ever to die on me, i would be looking for something new. For me it would be a dreambox. Just as easy to set up and i do prefer my 500c to my dbox
