Vista and VLC

Any1 get VLC to work correctly with vista when streamin from dbox to pc ( to watch dbox on lappy )
It works for like 5 seconds then IE crashes... usin 0.8.6 ( i tried loads of versions too )

Hi Chrispeters
have you downloaded the latest version of VLC from the website, and select install activ x plug in and mozilla plug in?? that should sort you out. you have to select installing the plugins when installing the VLC appliaction.

i would reccomed dbox win server. im suprised its not here on the site. but i have only managed to get it to record on XP. if you purely want to watch tv on your pc then i would reccomend neutrino TV ( assuming you have a neutrino image running on your Dbox).

i have managed to get this working on vista let me know how you are getting on

i tried neutrino...but it same as vlc...just wont work on some channels EG racing channels (which is wot i want it for )
