    Dbox streaming to PC problems

Hi Ive just put commando 11.3 image on and is superb!great image, I have a couple of little problems though, I am trying to watch dbox channels on my laptop wirelessly. The dbox is connected and i can ping and browse files telnet in dbox etc fine. I have taken off my firewall and opend necessary ports etc.

I just cant see what the problem is? do i need to do anything in the dbox? add plugins etc? I am using wingrab tv and is giving me a socket error when trying to connect and get the bouquet list...Also when i put http dboxes ip add in web browser it comes up with page cannot be displayed but can browse to ftp ok...

I would really appreciate someones help with this as I have tried everything i can think of.

    Cheers Stewart

I'm not sure but i dont think C 11.3 has all that is needed for streaming out of the box and you may have to d/l some additional features, which if i recall are in the blue menu features button.

I reckon others may be able to help you more but worth just checking.

    cheers

I'm using Wingrab (The simplest & best for streaming quality) just fine with 11.3, didn't have to add any extra's in the image.

            THE TRUTH
            The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

tried these and getting the same socket error... "connection closed by peer" surely this has to be something on the dbox side then?

I had the same issue .. there is an add in called streaming, you can find it in the commander 11.3 add-ins menu. This fixed the problem .. I can now view video from my pc ... on yweb, wingrab and dbox tv

However i have encountered another issue, I can record using vlc .. but if i want to use yweb, or record from the dbox epg menu .. press record, the recording starts but the dbox freezes and you cannot access the dbox menu anymore (tv still plays footage) .. after about 30mb of recording the recording stops and usually the tv picture freezes too. SO I have to unplug and restart the dbox.

So far i have not been able to search and find any tutorials regarding recording, that help with this issue. any advice anyone?

have you changed the Ucode to ucode_0014 (blue Button, Extra's Menu). 11.3 defaults to 0001 and i couldn't get it to record using that without freezing the box. toggled to 0014 and works a dream

Cheers Dalcan, changing Ucode enabled me to stream much more smoothly. I still have an issue though, I can only stream free to air channels and sports channels successfully, all other channels appear to be scrambled in some way. I can hear all sound but picture is just blrred wavey lines as if it is still scrambled. I find this to be strange as it does not appear this way with premium sports channels. Any help would be very appreciated. I have tried all applications and the result is the same

Are you using stream Me by any chance? I have the same problem on some channels or no sound. I have perfect pictures using wingrab, just takes a bit to set up and work out how to use it

                      cheers

yes mate streamme gives me the strange scrambled picture with perfect sound on premium channels bar sports. All others just show nothing on the affected channels. Only had these issues since changing image to latest commando
