    No channels after scan. HELP!

I have a Nokia Dbox2 running the lacky pro image. It has been running perfectly for the past 18 months. I have done scans in the past with no problem. However, after the box crashed (locked) I rebooted (which happens from time to time no problem). This time it lost all the channels inc fta. I tried a rescan but it finds no channels at all, not even the fta. The search only lasts for 9 secs and it comes back "Transponder scan finished successfully" but I have no channels.

I re-flashed and set my location but no channels found. I even tried plugging in another cable feed (from my modem) and still no channels found. Tried brute force which found lots of transponders but no channels.

I have successfully flashed 4 other dboxes for friends in the past using the same image, setting location and putting in missing files etc. So I am thinking it may be a faulty tuner??

I even tried another image (commando) with the same problem.

When the box initially locked it was stuck on sly sports2 (which I was watching the night before) and still live (so the signal was coming through OK and I could watch the channel) I just could not change channel (locked up).

I'm an electronic engineer by trade, so I tested the transistor in the tuner (bfg94) and there are no shorts between base/emitter/collector (even though it still may be o/c but in circuit). The 5R6 and 10 Ohm resistors are OK. I have bought a replacement transistor from eBay but have not received it yet.

Sorry for the long post, but I feel I need to put as much info as possible to stop multiple posts.

    Can anyone please help

    Kind regards

If you have a backup of your services.xml ftp it to var/tuxbox/config/zapit overwriting the one in there then go to the service menu and choose reload channel list and check if fta are working first
if they dont work press red then blue on a fta channel and post the ber,snr and sig readings.

Also have another look at the Scan Menu- does this look like the normal Cable version, or is it now full of strange Satellite gobbledegook?

      Cheers- AL

        Thanks, Fergal

Using bouquet wizard I transfered my services over. It came up with bbc1 waiting for time channel not found.

        On BBC1:

BER: 840 changing up to 1080

        SNR: 61937

        SIG: 45232

All are constantly updating but remaining around the figures given.

        Any clues?

          Thanks, Paphosal

The scan menu is normal and familiar (I've seen it so many times!)

          Freq: 651000

          Symbol rate: 6952
