Odd problem with nokia dbox2

Hey people. I have a really odd fault with a nokia dbox2. I have flashed several different images onto it and i get the same result every time. The box only picks up s8y sports 1 and 3 and no other channel;s, not even free to air. Ive changed ucodes and cams but all to no avail. I thought the tuner was goosed but as it receives sports 1 and 3 flawlessly the tuner must be ok.

Any ideas????

I still say it's a signal issue mate.

Check all your cabling, if it is ok then pop out to ARGOS and pick up one of their cheap Signal Boosters - under a tenner.

Just because you get a few channels does not necessarily mean that either the tuner is ok or that your signal is ok.

I have a signal booster an sp1 or other from argos. The signal is fine on every other box i have tried on my system and when i use the booster it amps the signal far too much resulting in stutter freeze up and black screen. As soon as i take the booster out all is fine again. Its a really strange fault this one, im thinking the box may have been damaged at some point. Thanks for the input witchy2k1 though.

are you adding the service files correctly

Yeah java, ftping the bouquets and services to the zapit folder in tuxbox, basically the same way ive did before only this time i only get s*y sports 1 and 3 and no other channel. Its a bit of a puzzler this one.

With all other things being ok I reckon it's a dodgy tuner mate.

have you tryed useing different services files as the ones you have be have some how become corrupt

Yeah. Tried different service files and bouquets and it still only comes up with sports 1 and 3. Ive never seen anything like this before, im thinking the box may be on its last legs .

have you tried just scanning for channels without putting service files etc in,just set your location and scan dont klnow if it will work but might be worth a try

Ill try doing the scan manually and see if that makes any difference to it bonehead, thanks for the advice mate.
