dbox transfer

I have downloaded both the flash fxp ftp client and magic files so i can input them into my dbox. The problem i am having is connecting with the dbox. I switched the dbox off and connected the laptop to the dbox with a ethernet cable and a null modem cable. I inputted the dbox ip address into the server field, but what shall i input in the username, password and remote path field?
