Connecting to Dbox

I am trying to attempt to connect to my dbox through my computer to input the magic files.
I have been unsuccesful everytime. Firstly I turned the dbox off, then I tried login into the dbox with flashfxp, I entered the IP address and the username as root and password as commando or dbox2. What am i doing wrong??

Turn antivirus and firewall off set comp ip address to 1 below the dbox then try connect.
