image summary

So... I'm new here... and all this flashing images to my dbox gets a bit confusing.

I think I've worked out how to flash a new image, but now seems to be decision time for picking an image.

I tried searching for image summaries of what each has to offer, but cant seem to find much... so not sure where to start.


Also... everytime i flash a new image... is that all the work i have to do? or do I have to rescan, put my keys (whatever they are) and all the other stuff again as well?

Any help will be greatly appreciated... Thanks!

first thing make sure u know what box u got 1x or 2x.

if u got a working img with channels sorted u need to ftp the

k*ey folder (all files in it) found in the var folder

and the bouquet and service.xml files from the var/tuxbox/config/zapit folder to ur pc......

and save the emu folder, maybe on the root or in var, these are missing from some new imgs

flash a new img and transfer these files over.......

theres a V+ v2 img out at the mo, i'm trying it and it's looking very good...

uh oh...well it's time to scan and reorder ur bouquet....d/l k*eys from somewhere and emus if u need them.....never mind we all learn through mistakes...
