dbox2 pin code

hi all..does anyone know how to either reset or remove the pin code from the dbox menu's, im trying to upload a new image but when i click on services to update it asks for a pin number which i do not know, does anyone know what the original pin should be??

Press DBox button then go down to service settings press that then go down to parental controls press that know you should have a option to change pin code.

How to bypass the pin code on Sagem dbox

There are 2 methods to find the pin code on a dbox2

either ftp into var/tuxbox/config and view neutrino.conf, look for parentallock_pincode=####

the #### is the pin code.

If you want you can do it from the dbox
Choose Tuxbox Commander
var ok
tuxbox ok
config ok
scroll down to neutrino.conf ok
then scroll down to the line, it is in alphabetical order.

thats the problem!!..i dont know the code so cant get into the services menu..

try 0000 if this don't work then look in the var/tuxbox/config in this folder there will be a file called neutrino.conf it'll be in there prob called parentallock=****

hi..thanks for the info but i have no idea how to do these things, im not a whizz with this sort of thing unfortunatly so have no idea how to go about ftp into files or where to find tuxbox commander.

You will find the tuxbox commander by pressing the blue button on your remote then you will see a screan with the dbox files. Then go to var press ok then go to tuxbox press ok then go to config press ok scroll down to neutrino.conf press ok then scroll down to the line,of the password then change to your then press home it will ask you if you want to save press yes. Now your password will be changed.

hurray ...cracked it...cheers to all who helped..just did a bit of searching on how to ftp into the box and followed a few instructions from web and on here and managed to do it..new blade quad image being installed as i type.
